Postgraduate: Borrowing, renewing & returning books

Borrowing, renewing and returning books

Getting Started - Borrowing

You can borrow up to eight books at a time. Long loan books can be borrowed for four weeks at a time and short loan books for one week. You can also renew your checkout items, once they are not required by another user (N.B. all books are subject to recall at any time if requested by another user). You can renew books in person, by phone or by logging into My Library Record in the Library Catalogue.

Books should be returned promptly to the Library. You will be fined if books are not renewed or returned on time (20c per day for long-term loans and €1 per day for short loan items). You can avoid unnecessary fines by checking My Library Record regularly. If you do incur fines, you can pay these in person at the library Desk.

Books may be returned to the return bin or at the Issue Desk.
