Computers & WiFi
The Library provides computers for student use for study and research purposes only. You can book a PC at the Library Information Desk by presenting your AIT ID Card. Each PC is connected to the network printer/photocopier. You can book for a maximum of two hours per session followed by a one-hour extension if required. The remaining one-hour allocation can be booked if required following a short break period.
- Users are required to adhere to the AIT Acceptable Usage Policy as detailed in the Student Handbook .
- Users are not permitted to make any unauthorized adjustments to any Library IT equipment, settings or software.
- Access to the internet is for research and educational purposes only.
- Please ensure you click ‘End Session’ when you are finished on a PC.
All Libraries have Wi-Fi access.
Students and staff of AIT can connect to Wi-Fi using their AIT email address and password.
To use this facility you need to download/install the eduroam installer for your particular computer/mobile device. The easiest way to configure your device is to connect to this site https://cat.eduroam.org/ . This will automatically detect the installer for your device. When you have installed eduroam, you must use your AIT email address (firstname.lastname@example.org, e.g. A00123456@student.ait.ie) and your password. If you are experiencing any difficulties with AIT IT equipment, please log a help request
Visiting students from institutions participating in the eduroam service can use this service to obtain access to the Internet.
Wi-Fi is not available for visitors.
