TUS Library: Midlands routinely collects information to help improve functionality and navigation and to monitor performance. Examples of such information collected by the website include:
- Your Internet location (IP address)
- Which pages on our site you visit
- The URL of the Web page from which you came to our site
- Which software you use to visit our site and its configuration
This type of data is not personally identifiable. A cookie may be placed on your computer to provide anonymous data, including the information listed above. Document supply requests details are recorded.
When you log into your patron record, your patron number is temporarily recorded. In addition, databases and e-journals you visit using patron record login links are recorded by patron number, year, patron type and course code. This information is used only within the library to improve services. The library does not collect information for commercial marketing or pass on information to other organisations.
